<p>Earlier today, <a href="http://smallbusinessmavericks.com/caroline-melberg-speaking-services.htm" target="_blank">Caroline Melberg of Small Business Mavericks</a> and the Social Media Incubator gave a beneficial presentation at a morning event for the <a href="http://www.wayzatachamber.com" target="_blank">Wayzata Chamber of Commerce</a>. Caroline explained how quick response (QR) codes can be used as a valuable and measurable business tool.</p>
<p>Here are a few key points from Caroline&#8217;s presentation:</p>
<p>- Have a goal or a plan for your QR Code that integrates with your overall marketing efforts</p>
<p>- Link your QR Code to a landing page that is optimized for mobile viewing</p>
<p>- Make sure to measure your results so you know what&#8217;s working best</p>

<p>Have you heard about the new <a href="http://www.google.com/instant/">Google Instant</a>? It’s Google’s new feature that is meant to give you instant results and predict your search while you type in the search bar. By predicting your search and showing results before you finish typing, Google Instant claims it can save two to five seconds per search. Even though this feature is meant to give convenience and speed to users, there seems to be quite a bit of discussion right now about this new feature being the <a href="http://www.business.com/guides/make-google-fall-in-love-with-your-small-business-website-1865/">&#8220;death of SEO.</a>&#8221;  Could it be true? <a href="http://www.smallbusinessmavericks.com/about-small-business-mavericks.htm">Marketing Maverick Caroline Melberg</a> believes that idea is completely wrong.</p>
<p>“Google Instant actually makes keywords, particularly <a href="http://searchengineland.com/how-to-use-long-tailed-keyphrases-in-your-linking-campaign-20639">long-tail keywords</a>, even more important,” said Melberg.  “What I&#8217;ve noticed since I started watching social media and this whole evolution is that every advancement and move forward has keywords as a pivotal point. They just keep getting more and more important and Google Instant is no exception.”</p>
