Hashtags are best known by Twitter users as a way to take part in trending topics or create your own. As hashtags have been a big part of the Twitterverse for quite awhile, Facebook’s adoption of them will make the ability to search the two biggest mega-databases easy and effective especially those using social media for business marketing. The major difference between the two platforms using hashtags is that Facebook will still utilize it’s privacy settings defined by the user even if a hashtag is used while Twitter is completely open-source.
That being said, many are skeptical on the use of hashtags on Facebook. What are your thoughts?
